Balabaya & Co is an artisan small-batch bakery that publishes a (more or less) weekly menu delivered by email.
Each email describes the week’s menu of seasonal specialties and a rotating selection of year-round favorites—so be sure to subscribe!
Customers place their orders online and select their preferred day and pick up location from the choices on the order form.
We also sell our products at select retail businesses and fine seasonal farm stands in and around Mendocino Village.
Beginning Fall 2026 Balabaya will be offering festively packaged boxed collections of our best selling varieties. Perfect for special occasions, gift giving and shippable nationwide.
Please note:
There may be occasional exceptions to our regular baking schedule and shop hours due to power outages, road closures, earthquake and tsunami warnings, and the like.
The menu is subject to last minute changes due to the finicky nature of natural fermentation and leavening, human error, mishaps and typos!
Although each product label lists ingredients, neither our baking facility or shop are ‘gluten free’ or ‘nut free’ environments. Those with nut or gluten sensitivities are advised to select baked goods with care.
Please plan on arriving during shop hours on your scheduled pickup day. Bakery products are perishable and refunds will not be issued for missed pickups.
Carefully inspect your order before you leave the shop to be 100% certain you received the items and quantities that you ordered.
